Music Legend Remembered This is very cool, Ray Charles is having his story come to Broadway, the musical will be titled Unchain My Heart . Unchain My Heart will begin previews on October 8th with the official premiere on November 7th, and we are sure a star studded opening it will be! Producer Stuart Benjamin of the 2004 movie Ray , which garnered Jamie Foxx an Oscar for his portrayal of Charles, is producing the Broadway show. Will Foxx star on Broadway

Adding A Star Name To An Already Five Star Production Next Fall received rave reviews off Broadway and when we recently interviewed the cast, no one knew that only a few days later Elton John would be announced as a producer for the show. During our exclusive interview with Phil Berk who is the President of the Hollywood Foreign Press, we discussed how Hollywood has had such a big impact on Broadway. Berk argued that the current economics of Broadway dictate a big name is needed to star in a show to be successful.

Evita Producers After Latin Singing Superstar Ricky Martin is in talks with Broadway producers for the revival of Evita next year when the production roles onto The Great White Way. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice are wanting a huge star like Ricky Martin to pump up the box office and have the crowds clamoring for tickets. Martin would play the role of Che Guevara with Elena Rogers reprising her role as Eva Peron whom she played in the 2006 London production.

Hunt For New Mary Jane Begins Spider-Man the musical is still headed to Broadway after we confirmed with Julie Taymor recently at the opening of Christopher Walken’s A Behanding In Spokane, but today the production announced that they have lost Evan Rachel Wood who was to play Spidey’s love interest Mary Jane Watson, because of scheduling conflicts. The good news is Reeve Carney who is playing Spider-Man and Alan Cummings as The Green Goblin are still on board and soon the show will announce a new timeline for when Spidey will finally come to Broadway.
